With the Fall Classic kicking off this week, Sony has used its baseball simulation game, MLB 09 The Show to predict the outcome. Phillies fans will be pleased.

Sony's PlayStation Blog has used the company's baseball simulator, MLB 09 The Show to predict the outcome of the World Series. We're not ones to scoff at the ability of a video game to predict major sporting events--after all, the Madden series has predicted 5 of the 6 Super Bowl champions--so we'll agree with the judgment that the Phillies will triumph in the World Series over the Yankees in 7 games.

Does it cloud my judgment that I'm a Mets fan? Considering that this is a series between the Phillies, who are their division rivals while the Yanks are their cross-town rivals, I'd say it all cancels out, right?

... ah, go Phils! Except for Pedro Martinez, that traitor.
