Konami Digital Entertainment has announced the release of Metal Gear Solid Touch on the App Store. Compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch, Metal Gear Solid Touch costs US$8.
Metal Gear Solid Touch is an iPhone game based on the enormously popular stealth-action game that originated on video game consoles. Players control Solid Snake in "the final chapter in the legendary saga."
Old Snake battles mercenaries of Private Military Companies (PMCs), Haven Troopers, Gekko and the bosses of the B&B Corps across varied environments including the Middle East, South America and Eastern Europe.
The game features 20 levels of gameplay and sports bad guys from Snake's past. In order to win each level, you must meet specific objectives in order to clear the stage. Along the way you earn "Drebin Points" which you can cash in for access to exclusive items -- 15 wallpapers you can decorate your iPhone with.
Metal Gear Solid Touch requires an iPhone or iPod touch with iPhone 2.0 Software Update or later.
