ILuv Announces That I1166 Will Ship in October

iLuv has announced that its i1166 portable multimedia player will finally be available in the middle of October for $270.

The i1166 player features a 9-inch widescreen TFT LCD, and plays CDs and DVDs, as well as video from any video-capable iPod model. It can also play files stored on SD/MMC memory cards or USB flash drives, and supports DivX, VCD, and SVCD video, MP3 and WMA audio, and JPEG images.

The unit includes a remote control; a built-in rechargeable battery with AC and car adapters; and has two headphone jacks.

iLuv originally announced the i1166 at the 2009 CES tradeshow with a March 2009 ship date.
